Customize your bot's appearance
Give your bot its own identity from Edit Bot Settings → Bot Appearance. Most appearance features need a premium bot (paid bot time) to take effect.
What you can set
- Name — your bot's display name.
- Avatar — the bot's picture.
- Homepage — opens when someone clicks the bot's name.
- Status — the short line under the name.
- pcback — the private-chat background.
- Hat — a hat power id, if you want one.
Name decoration — the #1 mistake
Do not put nameglow / namecolor / namegrad / nameflag / namewave codes in the Bot Name field. Put them in the separate Name Decoration area instead.
The settings page links generators for name color, gradient and glow so you can build the codes visually. You can also try them on our xat Tools page (namecolor, gradient, wave and more).
Use variables in name, status and messages
Variables are auto-replaced when the bot sends. For example a status of Latest Power: {lpname} always shows the newest xat power. A few common ones:
| Code | Shows |
|---|---|
{online} | Users online in the chat |
{chat} / {group} | The chat/group name |
{lpname} / {latestpower} | Latest power name |
{lpid} | Latest power id |
See the full list on the variables reference.
