Make your bot multilingual
ARCbots is multilingual. Your bot can speak another language and translate chat — and you do not need the lang power for this.
Make the bot speak a language
!speaklanguage spanish
This switches the bot's own output to that language using a translator. You can also set the bot's language in Edit Bot Settings → Chat / Language settings.
Translation display
In the language settings there's an "include translations in brackets" option:
- OFF — the bot is fully translated into the target language.
- ON — it shows the English original alongside the translation (like xat's translator).
Human translation, with a fallback
ARCbots uses human translation for its messages. Anything humans haven't covered can optionally fall back to Google Translate by switching that toggle ON — note this can delay responses by 1–5 seconds, so leave it off unless you need it.
Translate on demand
Users can translate text with !translate. For a multilingual chat, also consider enabling extra languages in the profanity filter so bad words are caught in those languages too.
